Crazy Days at Lazy Days

Who would believe that you could go to one place and see hundreds of motorhomes?? Lazy Days in Tampa, Florida is such a place. Each brand of motorcoach had its own section. It was like being a child in a candy store. So much to see. How do you make a decision?
As I mentioned before, we had put a deposit on a used motorcoach and we were very excited to see it. Well our salesperson brought us to this vehicle and it was at this point when the pictures certainly were better than the coach itself.
It is amazing how the color green can be photographed and look totally different in person. This particular coach boasted of "lime" green instead of the darker green we thought we would see. We knew upon first entering the coach that we would pass on this purchase.
After seeing a few more used vehicles, Lee and I realized that we were not "used" coach people. So began a search of a brand new motorcoach in our price range. Would that even be possible??????????????
Little did we know we would be opening a kettle of fish......

Buy A Motorcoach On-Line?????

We were so very excited when we decided to purchase a new motorcoach. Our original plans were to buy a used coach with as many of the amenities as we could have. We searched on-line at Lazy Days so we could take as many virtual tours of the used vehicles as possible. While virtual tours definitely give you a feel for what you are looking for, it doesn't take the place of actually physically walking through and experiencing it for yourself.
We definitely learned that a picture may be worth a thousand words, but it can also be very deceiving. We found that out when we put a deposit on a used coach and awaited our visit to what we fondly now call "Crazy" Days.

First time blogging

Well hello dahlings,
Welcome to my first blog ever. I will be adding some additional information to my site over the next few weeks.
I hope you enjoy some of my interesting tales of the road in our new 45 foot motorcoach. Some of you might think of a "camper" when you think of a motorcoach. Some of you might also refer to it as a "mobile" home which it is not. A motorcoach has all the amenities of your home but it is more like a bus. You can drive it anywhere and have all the comforts of home with you. We have four slide outs which make for a very confortable living space. And what a great experience!!! You sleep in your own bed. You have your own bathroom. You have a fully applianced kitchen so you can eat your favorite foods. You have tvs, dvd/cd players. What more could you ask for!!! I even have a washer, dryer, and dishwasher now!! Yippee!!!
It is great when you have young children. We had a blast taking our two sons on many trips throughout the United States with our old coach (which was 35 feet and no slides).
Now that they are all grown up, my husband and I are empty nesters and we are enjoying our new motorcoach by ourselves. It is like having a condo on wheels. It has become our second home. And that will be the beginning our our life in the slow lane!
