We finally were able to say good bye to Winnipeg! The Motorcoach was repaired and we felt confident that our troubles were behind us.
We headed to a campground outside of Regina...not a bad drive (about 310 miles)...it was a beautiful day!
We pulled into our site and set up...now we only had 30 amps instead of 50 so we were careful about running only one air conditioner. However, I wasn't thinking about that when I put our dinner in the convection microwave. About 20 minutes into cooking, the outdoor circuit breaker tripped. We called the office and someone showed Lee how to fix it...so we decided
to opt for grilled cheese sandwiches instead.
Well before we knew it our air conditioner cut out and then came back on....this happened a couple of times and we realized that there was something funky with that 30 amp breaker. We didn't want it to possibly damage our electrical system so I looked up another campground for a site for the night. Luckily they had a pull through site for us with 50 amps! Yippee. This was more to our liking...so we met with the office manager and told her that we wanted to leave and go elsewhere. She completely understood since her maintenance guy was in the hospital and there was nothing she could do on our existing site except offer us another 30 amp one. She very kindly refunded our money and we were off once again.
The new campground was only 8 miles but in the opposite direction....not too bad.
We arrived and set the coach up in about 1/2 hour after our departure so that wasn't so bad.
Lee began working on his lap top for the last show at the Calgary Stampede...at every turn he was thwarted either by poor internet or server problems...How frustrating. I am glad to say that we finally got tickets and when Lee went to print them, the printer read low ink.....surely that was no big deal. so he goes to put a new black ink cartridge into our printer...easy, right?... all of a sudden I hear Lee's expletives when I looked at him and realized the ink cartridge exploded in his hands and on his desk. Are you kidding me?????
I helped him clean up the mess and we just looked at each other...
we have had a very challenging two weeks so far and is this the way our travels are going to be???????
The best thing we decided to do was to go to bed...it would be better tomorrow! Wouldn't it?
