Welcome to Dawson Creek

Dawson Creek...this is where the World Famous Alaskan Highway begins! Wow! We left for our new destination this morning and had beautiful scenery along the way....apparently this is caribou country so there were many signs on the highway alerting us to that fact.
Unfortunately we hit a lot of construction areas which slowed things down a bit....plus our windshield got hit with a little pebble and now we have a little crack. As we were driving, Lee noticed that some drivers in the opposite lane kept pointing to something on the coach...so we waited until we found a pull off area and Lee checked everything.....all I could think of was "what is happening now". I am glad to report that when we arrived at the campground, we were told that vehicles could not drive during the day with headlights on...so it was our headlights...whew! Since we have automatic lights....Lee will have to use them manually. Then our entrance steps didn't work again and this time Lee replaced the motor and we are good. Tomorrow is our sightseeing day...will probably add a few more pictures to this blog entry as well a write a new one detailing our Dawson Creek adventure!
